Hello and welcome to Avenue B Home Decor!

Why the name?  I chose the name Avenue B Home Decor because we are located on Beacon Avenue.  It was a play on our location.  I believe it fits the store.  It's a little bit city and a lot of fun!

Who is the owner? Hi, I am Jennifer Etherington, the owner of Avenue B Home Decor.  

I have always had a passion for home renovation and home decor! After growing up on the Saanich Peninsula, I moved to Vancouver and spent 17 years immersed in the hosptiality industry, opening and rebranding boutique hotels across Canada.  When I moved back to the Island 10 years ago and became more involved in the home staging, remodeling and renovation industry, I saw an opportunity to provide something different in the furniture and home decor arena in the unique and wonderful Town of Sidney. I decided to focus on a more contemporary, boho luxe offering, and strive to find stunning and original products that you don't need to drive into a big city to buy!

With a lot of hard work, creative vision and a gigantic leap of faith, my dream of opening a beautiful and welcoming store that inspires others to create their own superb spaces came to fruition in November of 2021.  And here we are today !  I feel very fortunate to be in business in Sidney-by-the-Sea, to work with my wonderful staff, and to be able to engage clients in a dynamic and fun environment.
